Arlene Ohren

Arlene Ohren, 90 of Evansville died Saturday, July 22, 2023, at the Evansville Care Center.

Arlene Florence Ohren was born on June 15, 1933, by Barrett, Minnesota the daughter of Otto and Mabel (Freeman) Seifert.  She was baptized on August 6, 1933, and was confirmed in the Lutheran Faith.  Arlene attended the Barrett Public School and graduated from the Barrett High School in 1952. After her graduation she was employed with Woolworths in Alexandria.

Arlene and Lowell Ohren were married on April 2, 1960.  They lived in Grant County until 1972, when they purchased their farm by Evansville.   To this union five children were born, Leo, Leslie, Arlou, Ardyce and Ardel.  She was a homemaker raising her family and later started with Crestview Nursing Home, now the Evansville Care Center, where she was a CNA and then worked as a Laundry Aide.  In 2006, she moved into the Evansville Apartments until she entered the Evansville Care Campus Assisted Living.  Arlene enjoyed crocheting, playing bingo and cards, and her favorite was dancing with Lowell.   She especially enjoyed her family and all the grandkids.  She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid.

She is survived by her children, Leo (Missy) Ohren, Leslie (Annette) Ohren, Arlou Ohren, Ardyce (Jerald) Quam and Ardel (Robert) Sterns; grandchildren, Jeremiah, Jason, Jebediah, Lindsay, Casey, Coel, Steven, Taylor, Nick, Britta, Mackinzie, Megan and Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Mason, Hallie, Kenna, Lincoln, Quentin, Hunter, Jaeger, Kali, Kambree, Kerra, Taemon, Londyn, Maci, Liam, Kinley, Brighton, Harper, Kya, Noah, Jax and Jovi; and sister-in-law, Gloria Ohren; and by numerous relatives and friends.   Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell on March 24, 2002; brother, Art (Sharon) Seifert; sisters, Mary Seifert and Martha (Maynard) Dahlseng and parents.

Funeral Service: 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 29, 2023, at Faith Lutheran Church in Evansville with visitation one hour prior at the church.

Interment in Pelican Lake Cemetery of Ashby.
