Amy Shol, 56, passed away Friday March 22, 2024, at Lake Region Health Care Center Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. 
 
Amy Shol, born on November 12, 1967, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, as the 8th child of Lucky and Blanche Shol. She was baptized and later confirmed at First United Church of Christ. During High School Amy worked at the Viking Café. Following her graduation from Fergus Falls High School in 1986, Amy worked at Tag-up before she pursued her passion for art by founding her own business, "Monkey Biz", where she touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and boundless creativity. Amy’s greatest joy was being a mom to her son Dalton. 
 
Amy was a true artist and enjoyed painting, crocheting, and making jewelry. A beacon of joy and hospitality, Amy's home was always filled with love and laughter, as she welcomed friends and family with open arms. Her love for gatherings extended to her son’s friends, whom she encouraged to treat her house as their own.

Amy is preceded in death by her life-partner Shawn Olson; grandparents; parents, Lucky and Blanche; sister, Cindy Shol; and dogs, Cuda, Sasha, Chopper, and Lena.


Amy is survived by her son Dalton (Morgan) Olson; siblings, Sheri (Rich) Jones, Bill Shol, Sally (Larry) Ott, Paul Shol, Peggy (Marc) Carlson, Nancy (Mark) Hagberg, Pat (Addie) Shol; Auntie Donna; best-friend, Staci LaPlante; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended-relatives, and friends.

A Celebration of life will be At Glende-Nilson Funeral Home of Fergus Falls on Friday, March 29, 2024, from 4-7 PM with a prayer service beginning at 6 pm.
