Albert Boese

Albert Boese, 79, of rural Pelican Rapids, died Friday, September 6, 2019, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.

Albert Walter Boese was born in rural Erhard, MN, to Walter and Helen (Spencer) Boese on September 10, 1939.  He graduated from Pelican Rapids High School in 1957. Albert worked as a bus driver with Knutson’s School Buses and at the Texaco Station in Pelican Rapids, MN.

On April 25, 1959, Albert was united in marriage with Christine Margaret Frautschi at Grace Lutheran Church (formerly Bagstevold Lutheran Church) in Erhard.  They farmed for many years in rural Erhard before retiring to their home near Pelican Rapids.

Through the years Albert enjoyed John Deere tractors, hunting, playing cards, antiques and spending time with Christine and his family.

Albert is survived by his wife, Christine, as well as their two daughters, Kristi (Maynard) Pierce, Vergas, MN and Lori (Bruce) Tweeton, Center Point, IA.  Surviving grandchildren are Zachary (Cassie) Pierce, Leslie (Luke) Behaunek and Landon (Kelsey) Tweeton as well as four great grandchildren and two sisters Alice (Richard) Carlson and Selma Mobraten.  Albert was preceded in death by his parents, his grandson Jacob Pierce and his sisters Carol and Franny.

Visitation:  One hour before the service

Funeral Service: 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at Grace Lutheran Church, Erhard, MN

Clergy: Reverend Brad Soenksen

Interment will be at Bagstevold Lutheran Cemetery
