Alan Johnson

Alan P. Johnson, age 89 of Fergus Falls , MN died Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Lake Region Hospital , Fergus Falls .

Alan Phillip Johnson was born on October 30, 1920 by Mankato , Minnesota the son of Walter and Flossie (Parsons) Johnson.   He attended country school at Kerns, Minnesota .    Alan served in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in Hawaii serving as a truck driver.

Alan and Maxine Rawlings were married on October 19, 1942 in the Episcopal Church in St. Peter , Minnesota .   They lived in southern Minnesota in the St. Peter area where Alan worked various jobs as an electrician.   They moved to Fergus Falls where Alan was employed twenty-two years with the Fergus Falls State Hospital , retiring in 1983 as an Electrical Foreman.

Alan is survived by his wife, Maxine; three sons, Craig (Nancy) Johnson, Walter "Tud" (Diane) Johnson all of Battle Lake, and Mark Johnson of Fergus Falls; four grandchildren, Tim Johnson of Anchorage, AK, Theresa (Randy) Buhl of Vergas, Justin Johnson of Bozeman, MT, Chad Johnson of Queen Creek, AZ; three great-grandchildren, Tyler, Benjamin and Addison.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Flossie Johnson; grandson, Clint Johnson, one brother and two sisters.
