Adrian Alvin Strande

Adrian Alvin Strande, a devoted farmer and beloved community member, peacefully passed away on May 11, 2026, at his residence in Fergus Falls, Minnesota. Born on December 7, 1954, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Adrian's life was marked by hard work, dedication, and a genuine kindness that touched all who knew him.

Adrian's educational journey began at the district 1405 Schoolhouse, where he attended grades 1 through 8. He went on to graduate from Fergus Falls High School in 1972, demonstrating an early commitment to learning and growth. Furthering his education, he attended Alex Vo Tech, graduating in 1975 with a focus on Production Agriculture, a field that would shape much of his life's work.

A true son of the land, Adrian farmed with passion and perseverance until 1991. Farming was more than a career to him; it was a way of life that he cherished deeply. Alongside his farming, Adrian dedicated 30 years to delivering newspapers for the Daily Journal and Midweek, faithfully bringing news and information to his community. His connection to the local agrarian culture was further exemplified by his long-term involvement with Min Dak, where he worked on a sugar beet piler during the harvest for over three decades, a role he eagerly looked forward to each year.

In his younger years, Adrian enjoyed riding motorcycles, embracing the freedom and adventure of the open road. Even beyond his farming days, he maintained a love for tending to the land through his meticulous care of his lawn. His home was often shared with one or two cats, companions that reflected his gentle nature. Known throughout the community for his kindness and willingness to assist others, Adrian embodied the spirit of generosity and neighborliness.

Adrian is survived by his two brothers, Arvid (Cheryl) Strande and Alan Strande of Fergus Falls, MN; nephews, Jon (Krista) Strande of Elk River, MN and Jeff (Missy) Strande of Fergus Falls, MN, who carry forward his memory and the family legacy. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Adolph and Ruby Strande.

A family burial will take place at a later date.
