Donald Rudolph Neuman

April 7, 1938 ~ March 24, 2018 (age 79)

Donald Neuman, 79 of rural Battle Lake died Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls, Minnesota.

Donald Rudolph Neuman was born on April 7, 1938 by Stalker Lake, rural Battle Lake, Minnesota the son of George and Alta (Kent) Neuman.  He was baptized and confirmed in Trefoldighed Lutheran Church, rural Battle Lake and graduated from the Battle Lake High School in 1956.  Don served with the U.S. Army Reserves.

Donald and Delphine Spencer were married on November 24, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri.  After their marriage they began living on their farm in St. Olaf Township, rural Battle Lake where they operated a bee business and farmed.  Don was an electrician and had worked with Hintgen-Karst Electric, Edmund Electric, Mollerud Electric, Helgeson Electric and then Driggens Electric of Ashby.  He was a member of Trefoldighed Lutheran Church and enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking and carving.

He is survived by three sons, Scott Neuman of Battle Lake, Michael C. (Debra) Neuman of Hillsboro, Oregon and David (Mary) Neuman of Windsor, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Michael Neuman, Brianna (Ben) Summer, Aaron (Tasi) Neuman, Katherine (Heath) Harris, Andrew (Kaory) Neuman, Samantha and Sydney Neuman; four great-grandchildren, Ethan, Jacob, Carter and Jillian; two sisters, Dorothy (Arthur) Schuschke Of Fertile and Marie Auseth of Fergus Falls; and by numerous relatives and friends.  Don was preceded in death by his wife, Delphine on March 27, 2016; parents, George and Alta Neuman; two brothers, George and Harold Neuman; three sisters, Esther Trigg, Garna Clark and Ednamae Johanknecht; four brothers-in-law, Howard Trigg, Lloyd Clark, Ken Auseth and Lowell Johanknecht.

Memorial Gathering: Friday, April 27, 2018 from 1-3 pm Trefoldighed Lutheran Church of rural Battle Lake. Followed by interment in the church cemetery.
