William Robert Rooney died unexpectedly in Fergus Falls, MN on February 13, 2017 at the age of 39.
William was born January 27, 1978 in Toledo, OH to Gloria Sees Through Rain and James E. Santerelli. At age 12, William was adopted by the Rooney family. He graduated from Job Corp training to be a mechanic in Minot, ND, and he worked in construction of grain bins. He enjoyed reading and electronics, and was interested in cars. Bill will be remembered for his outgoing personality, love of laughter, optimism and loyalty. He loved his children unconditionally and treated all children in his life as though they were his. Children enjoyed his company and because he loved to learn new things, he also loved to share with others what he had learned.
He is survived by his fiance, Trisha Hallada from Bottineau, ND, daughter, Zoey Hallada, son, Gage Hallada, birth parents, Gloria Sees Through Rain and James E. Santerelli from Ponca City, OK, and a large adoptive family, parents, James and Roxanne Rooney from Kensington, MN, three brothers, five sisters, their spouses and 23 neices and nephews.
A balloon release was held in his honor by friends and family in Fergus Falls on February 17th, 2017. His ashes will be buried during the summer of 2017 near Kensington, MN.
