Stella Hodnefield, 95, of Fergus Falls died Saturday, November 23, 2013 at the Lake Region Hospital.

Stella Lundberg Hodnefield was born November 30, 1917 in Eagle Lake Township, Otter Tail County to Henry and Bessie (Okerlund) Lundberg. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith April 19, 1918. She grew up on the family farm and attended school in District #72 in rural Battle Lake, MN. On June 17, 1939 she was united in marriage to Marvin Hodnefield. The couple moved to a farm in Eagle Lake Township, residing there 28 years. She was an active member of Eagle Lake Lutheran Church participating in Ladies Aid, later known as ELCW, and teaching Sunday school. In 1968 they moved to Fergus Falls, MN. She was a member and volunteer of the Senior Program for 12 years. She also worked for Rosenblatt Garment Factory. Stella was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening, especially working with flowers, crocheting, quilting, painting going to garage sales and playing whist. Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, Philip and his wife Anna; a sister, Jeanette and her husband Raymond Torgerson; and a son-in-law, Gerald Germolus.

Survivors include her husband, Marvin, of 74 years, daughters Sharon (Louis) Fernbaugh, Oklahoma City, OK; Wanda (David) Gray, Fargo, ND; and Katherine (Jim) Germolus, Wichita, KS; three grandchildren; Tracy (William) Stallbaumer; Garrick Fernbaugh; and Nicolle (Ken) Kovacs; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials preferred to Eagle Lake Church Cemetery Fund.

Funeral Services: 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls

Visitation: one hour prior to the service
