Reynold Hanson, 88 of Fergus Falls died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Reynold Karl Hanson was born on October 7, 1926 by Fergus Falls, Minnesota the son of Karl and Clara (Anderson) Hanson. He was baptized and confirmed in the Augustana Lutheran Church and attended Rural School District #30 in Buse Township.
Reynold and LaNore Schoon were married on October 10, 1953 in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls by Rev. William F. Krueger. After their marriage they farmed in Buse Township before purchasing their dairy farm in Amor Township, rural Battle Lake where they farmed for twenty-eight years. In 1979, they moved into Fergus Falls where he was employed with Con-Agra Flour Mill where he worked for fifteen years until his retirement. Reynold enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and traveling with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed camping with his family by Turtle Lake, he was an outdoorsman. He was a devoted father to his children and a wonderful grandfather and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his children, Richard Hanson and Victoria (Rick) Farrar both of Fergus Falls and Kristie Sutton of Moorhead; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, Adam (Amanda) Hanson and their children Daniel and Theresa, Jacob Hanson, Matthew Sutton, Christina (Ben) DeLong and their son Aiden and Kimberly Sutton; sister, Louise Hokanson of Fergus Falls; brother, Karl Hanson of Fergus Falls; four brothers-in-law, Ervin (Ellen) and James (Judy) Schoon both of Fergus Falls, Billy (Beverly) Schoon of Erhard and Keith Schoon of West Fargo; and by numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Reynold was preceded in death by his wife, LaNore on April 22, 2012; parents, Karl and Clara Hanson; four brothers, Conrad, Vernon, Norman and Harold Hanson; sister, Mae Youngberg; father and mother-in-law, Ernest and Bertha "Peggy" Schoon; and by brother-in-law, Gary Schoon.
Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Light and Life Chapel at the Broen Home in Fergus Falls.
Visitation: Sunday from 5 pm to 7 pm at the funeral home
