Priscilla McKenzie

April 29, 1952 — March 17, 2015

Priscilla Marie McKenzie, 64, peacefully passed into heaven on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at the PioneerCare Nursing Home in Fergus Falls.

She was born to Jack Antell and Dorothy McKenzie on April 29, 1952, in Lengby, Minnesota. At the age of four years old, Priscilla was placed in foster care until tenth grade when she left school. She moved to Fergus Falls at the age of 17 in 1971, and worked at Productive Alternatives which was then called the Sheltered Workshop. Priscilla resided at River Bend Apartments until 2013 when she had a stroke and moved into the Pioneer Care Nursing Home.

While at River Bend Apartments she enjoyed going to a Place to Belong, doing word search puzzles, playing cards and reading Goosebumps Detective stories. She had a flair for decorating and loved being a hostess to people in her home where she would cook and serve special treats for her guests.

She moved into PioneerCare where she enjoyed playing Bingo, making paper art with her hands, visiting with other residents and staff, watching the 10 o'clock nightly news and eating popcorn. Priscilla enjoyed parties and having treats for those who attended. She was a member of The Salvation Army Women's Ministry and attended bible study on Tuesday mornings and the worship services at Pioneer Care.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jack Antell and Dorothy McKenzie; her grandparents and her precious cat Moonbeam that she dearly loved.
Survivors include a sister Judith M. Ayala of Amarillo, Texas; a brother in Minnesota, two nephews, Gastabo and Osbaldo and many, many close and dear friends.

Priscilla loved her Savior Jesus Christ and was known for having a giving Spirit.
