Pearl Reeser

January 9, 1916 — January 28, 2011

Pearl Foshoug Reeser, 95, of Fergus Falls died Friday, January 28, 2011, at the Lakeland Hospice House in Fergus Falls .





Pearl was born January 9, 1916, in Carlisle Township , the daughter of George and Hulda (Pergande) Meder. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls . She attended country school at Buse Township District #31 and #32 and later, Park Region College in Fergus Falls . For a time, she worked at Wright’s Hospital.





On December 27, 1941, Pearl married Art Foshaug. They built a life together with their son, Wesley, in Wendell , Minnesota where they operated the Foshaug Repair Shop until Art’s death in 1970. For the next few years, Pearl worked at Paul’s Café in Wendell.





In 1978 Pearl married Henry Reeser. She and “Hank” lived in Fergus Falls where they often entertained family and friends, enjoyed their flowers and birds and battled the pesky squirrels. There were many trips to the lake for fishing and trips to see family in Northern Minnesota and Montana .





Sewing, baking and entertaining kept Pearl busy. There was always a cup of coffee and some goodies ready if you happened to drop by.





She is survived by her son, Wesley Foshaug of Elbow Lake and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents; her siblings and both her husbands, Art Foshaug and Henry Reeser.





Visitation: One hour prior to the service





Service: 1 p.m. Wednesday at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls





Clergy: Father Arlie Sowada





Burial: St. Loretto’s Catholic Cemetery , Elbow Lake
