Marvin Buse

Marvin Buse, 90 of Evansville died Sunday, June 10, 2012 at the Knute Nelson Home in Alexandria.

Marvin Rudolph Buse was born on May 31, 1922 in Millerville Township, Douglas County, Minnesota the son of Herman and Magdalena "Lena" (Wilm) Buse. He was baptized and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Millerville. Marvin attended country school No. 56 in Millerville Township.

Marvin and Barbara McClay were united in marriage on March 19, 1946 in the West Moe Lutheran Church. After their marriage the couple farmed and made their home in Millerville Township. Marvin dairy farmed along with driving the bulk milk truck for a number of years for the Millerville Creamery. In 1976, they moved to Lake Moses where they resided until 1992 when they moved into Evansville. Barbara passed away September 3, 2005.

Marvin enjoyed fishing, hunting, country music and old time polkas. He played guitar and the harmonica. He liked spending time with his family, friends and especially his grandchildren.

Marvin was a Millerville Township Supervisor, served on the Millerville Creamery Board and Trinity Lutheran Church Board.

He is survived by five children, Gary (Molly) of Vining, Ron (Kathy) of Evansville, Donna (Norbert) Korkowski of Brandon, Allan (Theresa) of Alexandria and Robert (Kathy) of St. Francis, Minnesota; ten grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

Marvin was preceded by his parents Herman and Lena; one great-grandson Andrew Kerber; three brothers, Carl, Howard and Richard; and two sisters Alice Scott and Adeline Hagedorn.

Memorial Service: 11 am Thursday, June 14, 2012 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brandon

Visitation: Wednesday from 4 to 7 pm with a Prayer Service at 7pm at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment: Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, rural Millerville
