Marjorie Mahler

October 4, 1926 — October 24, 2016

Marjorie was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, on October 4, 1926. She went to be with the Lord on October 24, 2016.

She was raised in Winnipeg and attended Isaac Brock Grades 1-9 and later St. Boniface Hospital School of Nursing from 1945-1948, graduating as a Registered Nurse.

Marjorie Gladstone was united in marriage to Herman Mahler.

Marjorie attended a three month psychiatric course at London, Ontario in 1949. She began her career in Manitoba and continued for many years in Minnesota. Marjorie taught LPN training at Wahpeton School of Science from 1975-1980. She later attended Moorhead State University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree. In her spare time she was an excellent seamstress.

She was preceded in death by parents, James and Winifred Young; husband, Herman Mahler; brothers, Ken Young and Bruce Young and a daughter-in-law, Kathy Mahler.

She is survived by a daughter, Jane (David) Hawkins; two sons, H. James Mahler and Graeme (Mary) Mahler and grandchildren, Brittany (Spencer) Morton; Abbey, Sydney and Grayson Mahler; Cousin, Marvin Mahler; Canadian cousins, and many friends.

Memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's association or Hospice.

Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 1, 2016, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
