Margaret Feeks

Margaret Feeks, 87, of Fergus Falls died Friday, July 30, 2010, at the Pioneer Care Center .





Margaret Violet Feeks was born October 20, 1922, in Fergus Falls to George and Alma (Holden) Zahnow. She grew up in Fergus Falls and attended Jefferson School .





On November 12, 1940, she married Charles Edgar Peer in Fergus Falls and to this union three daughters were born, Joyce, Sandy and Peggy. They made their home in Fergus Falls where Margaret was the head cook at the Log Cabin Restaurant.





On April 16, 1966, she married James Feeks. They also made their home in Fergus Falls and Margaret worked at the Bob Hotchiss Store. Jim died on July 19, 1973. Margaret then moved to Fargo where she worked in housekeeping at St. Lukes Hospital retiring in 1984. She returned to Fergus Falls in 1990 where she has made her home.





Margaret enjoyed ice skating on the river, swimming, fishing, playing cards and games and especially spending time with her family and friends.





She is survived by her daughters, Joyce (David) Harles of Fergus Falls, Sandy (Don) Schwartz of Sebeka and Peggy (Jerry) Rezac of Breckenridge; grandchildren, Lynette (Dick) Nelson, Steve Harles and friend, Carol, Kim (Jim) Steiner, Carrie (George) vonBrugger, Marcia (Ric) Johnson, Dave (Kaya) Harles, Stacy (Mark) Eklund, Michelle (Joe) Silvers, Jeff (Dawn) Schwartz, Craig (Tammy) Schwartz, Kristi (Harley) Chase, Kurt (Jessica) Schwartz, Jeromy (Jean) Rezac, Melissa (Jeff) Lamb and Shawn (Suzy) Rezac; great-grandchildren, Austin and Chelsea Nelson, Sean Jaegar, Darwin Gray, Nicole and Rachel Steiner, Jericho and Jessica vonBrugger, Kiernan and Karlyn Johnson, Madysen, Thea and Ava Eklund, Carrie (Nick) Johnson, Sarah and Kelsey Schwartz, Bryan Silvers, Morgan and Brenan Chase, Keylee Schoon, Brandon Torgerson, Hayden and Hailey Rezac, Olivia and Brody Lamb and Sophia and Samantha Rezac; a special niece, Barbara (Ted) Wirkus of Columbia Falls, Mont; a nephew, Don Nelson and a niece, Adeline Colass.





She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Charles Peer and James Feeks; sisters, Lillian and Ruth; brothers, Vernon , Ray and an infant brother and a grandson, Paul Harles.





Visitation: Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service





Service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home, Fergus Falls





Clergy: Rev. Harry Olson





Burial: Oak Grove Cemetery
