Lois Loeks, 69, of Fergus Falls, fell asleep in death Thursday, October 18, 2016, at PioneerCare in Fergus Falls.
Lois Eileen Rohde was born on June 2, 1947 in Perham, MN, the daughter of Herbert and Luella (Trieglaff) Rohde. She attended school in Frazee, graduating from Frazee High School in 1964 and went on to attend Dakota Business College in Fargo. Lois met and married David Loeks in 1967 and the couple spent the majority of their years residing in Campbell, MN. Over the years, Lois enjoyed many years of working as a bookkeeper in various businesses. In the later years, she greatly enjoyed working at Foxhome Repair and Maury's TNT in Wendell, which led to her becoming an avid snowmobiler.
She enjoyed reading, gospel music, fast red cars, and was good at fixing things. Lois was enjoyed by all who cared for her at Pioneer Cottages and PioneerCare.
Lois is survived by David Loeks of Fergus Falls; three children, Lianne Loeks of Hugo, MN, Loran Coppin of Wahpeton, ND, Steven Loeks of Wahpeton, ND; three grandchildren, Hayden, Rachel, and Trey; and a sister, Jeanne (James) Rethwisch of Frazee.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation: 5 – 7 PM Friday, October 28, 2016, with a 6:30 PM Prayer Service, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, and one hour prior to services at the church
Funeral Service: 11 AM Saturday, October 29, 2016, at Bethel Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls
