Most important to Lloyd were his family and his Lutheran faith. He also really enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

He has one brother, Walter (Slim) Hokanson of Morris, Minnesota . His two sisters (Josephine Swart, 2008: infant Gladys) preceded him in death, as well as did his parents, Nellie and Olaf.

Lloyd’s motto: “Always treat other people like you would like to be treated.”
