Linda Stacey

Linda Stacey, 75 of Battle Lake died Saturday, July 2, 2016, at the Mary Murphy House in Clitherall, Minnesota.

Linda Resseguie Stacey was born on January 25, 1941, in Ord, Nebraska the daughter of Percy and Aulda (Serber) Resseguie.  She graduated from Madison High School in 1959, attended two years at the Colorado Women's College in Denver, Colorado and then graduated from the University of Nebraska where she was part of the Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. She was coronated as a Ak-Sar-Ben countess in the Ak-Sar-Ben debutante coronation ball in Omaha NE.

Linda and Charles (Chuck) Stacey were married September 10th, 1964 in Madison, Nebraska. During their marriage they lived in Salem, OR., St. Paul MN., Omaha, NE., Scottsbluff, NE. and Lincoln, NE. During her Career, Linda was employed as a Medical Technologist in several hospitals.  In 2002, Linda moved to the family lake home on West Battle Lake following her husband's death. She was a member of PEO. She enjoyed helping at the local flower shop, was an avid reader and enjoyed lake life. She was a loving mother and a loyal friend.

She is survived by a daughter, Steffen (Eric) Runquist of Minneapolis and a son, Charlie Stacey of Elizabeth and by one grandson, Parker. Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Aulda Resseguie and her husband, Charles Stacey.

Celebration of Life: 5:30 pm, Friday July 8, 2016, at Linda's home, 834 Lakeshore Drive, Battle Lake.

Interment: Crown Hill Cemetery in Madison, Nebraska.

Funeral Home: Glende-Nilson of Battle Lake.
