Judy Underhill, 63 of Erskine died Sunday, January 23, 2011 at the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine.
Judy Jane Underhill was born on July 8, 1947 in Parkers Prairie, Minnesota the daughter of James B. and Esther (Sandahl) Underhill. She was baptized and confirmed in the Vining Lutheran Church. Judy attended Country School by Vining, then the Battle Lake Public School and graduated from the Henning High School in 1965.
On December 9, 1967 she married Cedric Haugen in the Vining Lutheran Church. They spent time in Germany while Cedric was in the military, and then returned to the Henning area where they farmed for several years. Judy then lived in the Fergus Falls and Crookston areas. She entered the Pioneer Memorial Care Center in Erskine in October of 1999.
Judy cherished the time spent with her family and especially enjoyed her many nieces and nephews.
She is survived by sisters; Gloria Hemmerlin of Vining, Lorraine (Jerry) Erickson of Fergus Falls, Shirley (Gerald) Suchy of Urbank, Joan (Larry) Ahlfs of Ottertail, Rita (Bernal) Cichy of Henning; brothers; Robert (Lorraine) Underhill of Battle Lake, Dennis (Mary) Underhill of Vining and Darrol Underhill of Vining, and by many nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Esther Underhill; brother, Daniel Underhill; sister, Joyce Miller; two brothers-in-law, Leo Hemmerlin and Doyle Miller.
Funeral Service: 11 am, Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Nidaros Lutheran Church, rural Clitherall.
Visitation: one hour prior to the service.
