Jody Ecker, 53, of Fergus Falls died at her residence on July 4, 2014.
Jody Ruth Ecker was born February 23, 1961 to David and Shirley (Scott) Carlson in Breckenridge, MN. She was baptized and confirmed in Western Presbyterian Church. She grew up in Orwell Township and attended Country School. Jody graduated from Fergus Falls High School. On February 9, 1985 she was united in marriage to Craig Ecker. The couple made their home in Fergus Falls. Jody was employed at the Fergus Theatre, the Viking Café and Worner Auto Sales. She was most recently employed by Tag Up in Fergus Falls.
Jody enjoyed listening to classic rock, crafting, quilting, making beads, riding motorcycle, traveling, gardening and being outdoors. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family, friends and granddaughters.
She is survived by her husband Craig; sons Joseph "Joe" Ecker and Jacob "Jake" (Christine Cooper) Ecker and their children Madison and Maegan; brothers Lester (Deb) Carlson and Mark (Peggy) Carlson; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents and brother Steve Carlson.
The family asks everyone to dress casually when attending the service.
Memorial Service: 2 PM on Friday, July 11 at Zion Lutheran Church of Fergus Falls.
Visitation: 5 to 7 PM on Thursday at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls and will resume for one hour prior to the service at the church.
