Jean Huizinga

Jean Huizinga, 71, of Evansville died Sunday at her residence.

She was born April 25, 1939 in Echo, MN to Lawrence and Irene (Wussow) Hahn. She grew up and graduated from high school. She was united in marriage to Lyndon Huizinga. The couple made their home in rural Alexandria where they farmed. After Lyndon's death, Jean moved to Evansville .

Jean enjoyed her work with the residents and staff as a dietary aide at the nursing home in Evansville . She also liked working on puzzle books, cooking and reading. Jean especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children: Curt Huizinga and his wife Jeri of Farwell, Sonja (Greg) Kruger of South Dakota and Robert Pfeifle of New Mexico and ten grandchildren: Bradley and Kayla Huizinga, John Crandall, Jr., Tina Ashnan, Jean Branum, Robert Pfeifle, Jr., Susan Pfeifle, Jessica Deromero, Jamie Pfeifle and Jennifer Pfeifle-Hunter, many great grandchildren, relatives and friends.
