Gayle Christensen, 88 of Ashby died Thursday, May 4, 2017, at the Ashby Living Center.
Gayle Christensen was born on June 26, 1928, in Litchfield, Minnesota the daughter of Eugene and Margaret Brehmer. She graduated from the St. James High School in 1946. Gayle lived in St. James, and then various locations until settling next door to her son Wesley Christensen in Ashby. The last four years she lived in the Ashby Assisted Living Center.
Gayle is survived by one daughter, Kim (Bill) Abel of Hastings; two sons, Randy (Connie) Christensen of Brainerd and Wesley Christensen of Ashby; two grandchildren and their families, Andrew (Darla) Christensen, Asher and Liam of Monticello and Amanda (Dan) Kennedy, Ellie and Claire of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Karen (Bob) Swanson of Robertsdale, Alabama and Pat Wick of Grove City; one brother, Bill (Marilyn) Brehmer of Austin; and by numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Hendrickson and Joyce Johnson and by one brother, Bud Brehmer.
