Fred Leeman

Fred Leeman, 61, of Burlingame, CA, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 20, 2016, at his home.

He was born on February 4, 1955, in Fergus Falls, MN to Marlin E. and Irene C. (Muchow) Leeman. He was baptized and confirmed at the First United Church of Christ in Fergus Falls. Fred graduated from the Fergus Falls High School in 1973.

Following High School, Fred worked at Minn-Dak Farmer's Cooperative until 1980, at the time he moved to Santa Clara, California to work with his sister and brother-in-law, Tom and Brenda Atkins at South Bay Nexxus Company. In 1985, he took a position as Manager of Facilities at Peninsula Beauty Supply Company in San Mateo, California, entering his 35th year at the time of his passing.

His hobbies included antiquing, occasional casino trips and traveling. Fred enjoyed visiting with friends and loved ones, returning home twice a year for family visits and fun times.

Preceding him in death were his grandparents and father, Marlin E. Leeman.

Fred is lovingly remembered by his mother, Irene Leeman of Fergus Falls, MN; six siblings, Vicki (Reed) Stigen of Fargo, ND, Brenda (Tom) Atkins of Las Vegas NV, Paula Frankhauser of Fargo, ND, Carla (Steve) Kubeny of Fergus Falls, Jeff (Denise) Leeman of Fergus Falls, Cindy (Mark) Richter of Chaska, MN; special cousin, Jan (Dennis) Trosvig of Ottertail, MN; his employer and dear friend, Lori Silverstein of CA; his beloved dog Zoey, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Visitation: One hour prior to the service at the funeral home

Funeral Service: 3:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls, with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Knollwood Memorial Gardens

A Celebration of Life was held on Sunday April 24, in San Mateo, CA.
