Eva Risbrudt

Eva Luella Risbrudt, 87 of Dalton died Thursday, September 16, 2010 at the Evansville Care Center under hospice care.

Eva L. Risbrudt was born February 9, 1923 to Eric and Clara (Langlie) Palm in Eagle Lake Township , Ashby , Minnesota . She was baptized and confirmed in Grue Lutheran Church and attended country school in Eagle Lake Township . As a young adult she worked various jobs.

Eva married Chester Risbrudt on March 3, 1946 at Grue Lutheran Church . After their marriage they lived on their farm in St. Olaf Township . Eva always had the coffee pot on at the farm, loved company and was a friend to many. She had a green thumb, enjoyed flowers and plants as well as being an excellent historian.

She was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church where she enjoyed teaching Sunday school, quilting, Ladies Aid and the Mary Circle . Eva was involved in 4-H when her kids were young and also a member of the Ashby Legion Auxiliary. Her family was very special to her, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Eva is survived by her daughters, Rebecca (Jerry) Hensch of Fergus Falls, Debora (Bob) Gunderson of Mayer; her sons, Charles of Hitterdahl, Fred (Alaine) of Battle Lake, John (Linda) of Dalton, Peter (Janice) of Ashby and Thomas (Susan) of Dalton; grandchildren, Clinton, Allisha (Juston) Heacox, Joshua (Thai) Hensch, Jodi (Jonathan) Volgren, Sam Gunderson, Luke Gunderson, Tiana (Jason) Matthews, Phillip (Dara) Risbrudt, Rachel (Erik) Rundquist, Katy Risbrudt and Lauren Risbrudt; great grandchildren, Alex, Arik and Andrew Heacox, Jane Volgren, Kale Risbrudt and Hadley Hokanson; sister, Katy Frye of Lakewood, WA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Helen and Loren Erie of Ashby, Herbert and Wanda Risbrudt of Ashby, Evelyn Risbrudt of Ashby, Irene Palm of Fergus Falls and Vivian Palm of Henning; many nieces, nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Chester, August 24, 1997; son, Dan Eric; parents, Eric and Clara Palm; grandchildren, Adam Hensch, Olivia Risbrudt and Jonah Risbrudt; sisters, Blenda (William) Klimp; Hazel (Rudy) Lystrom, Norma Evavold, Juline Lascinski, brothers, Ervin (Marion) Palm, Walter (Esther) Palm, Gordon Palm and Bud Palm, brothers and sisters-in-law, Ralph and Mary Lou Risbrudt, Ervin Risbrudt and Glenn and Delloris Risbrudt.
