Ethelyn Jorgenson

Ethelyn Jorgenson, 79 of Rural Erhard died Monday, December 12, 2016, at Golden Living Center in Henning, Minnesota.

Ethelyn was born on January 25, 1937, the daughter of John and Evelyn (Olds) Stensrude. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church. Ethelyn graduated from the Fergus Falls High School.

On February 19, 1956, Ethelyn married Gaylen Jorgenson. Ethelyn and Gaylen started their farming career in Foxhome and continued dairy farming north of Underwood. Ethelyn also worked at the Fergus Falls State Hospital until retirement.

Ethelyn was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Women. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, reading and spending time with family.

Ethelyn is survived by three daughters, Candace Neppl of Erhard, Valerie (Robert) Braun of Marshall and Michelle (David) Randall of Erhard; one son, Kent (Teresa) Jorgenson of Erhard; twin sister and best friend, Ervena Budke of Fergus Falls; grandchildren, Kent (Amber) Neppl, Ryan (Lisa) Neppl, Tausha (Dan) Christensen, Nick Anderson, Alicia Anderson, Abby Neppl, Melissa Randall, Eric Randall, Michael Randall, Ben Randall, Andrea Jorgenson and Bryce Jorgenson; and by sixteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gaylen; son-in-law, Greg Neppl; brother-in-law, Mervin Budke.

Memorial Service: 2:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2016, at Messiah Lutheran Church of rural Underwood.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service.

Clergy: Pastor Tim Collins

Interment: Messiah Lutheran Cemetery
