Errol Ryckman, 50 of rural Elbow Lake, Minnesota died Monday, October 3, 2016, at his home.
Errol Lon Ryckman was born on August 29, 1966, in Stanton Island, New York the son of Raymond and Joan (Perina) Ryckman. He attended the Battle Lake Public School and then graduated from the Underwood High School in 1985.
Errol and Shirley Ann Johnson were married on August 9, 1986, at rural Underwood, Minnesota. After their marriage they lived at their home of rural Elbow Lake. He was employed with Charles Aasberg Construction building pole buildings. In 1995, they moved to Chicago, Illinois where he was self-employed in a flooring business. In 2009, Errol purchased a truck and team drove with his son Curtis, hauling over the road. In 2011, they returned to their home in between Dalton and Elbow Lake. Errol enjoyed spending time with his family and teasing. He enjoyed playing guitar and fishing. But one of his all-time favorites was barbecuing.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three sons, Kyle (Amy) Ryckman, Curtis (Shelby Swanson) Ryckman and Tyler (Jenny Staring) Ryckman all of Elbow Lake; three grandchildren, Riley Ryckman, Jayda and Baylee Staring and one on the way; four siblings, Cheryl (David) Schmidt of Jamestwon, ND, Dyrald Ryckman of Chicago, Jerri Bagley of Fergus Falls and Meryl Ruppert of Fergus Falls; and by numerous relatives and friends.
Errol was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Joan Ryckman; mother-in-law, Donna Johnson and by his two best friends, Bobbie Powell and Rocky Zachry.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred.
