Dorothy Schreiber

Dorothy J. Schreiber, 81, of Breckenridge, died August, 2, 2010 at St. Francis Nursing Home in Breckenridge.

Dorothy J. Bach was born March 14, 1929 near Fairmount , ND to Louis and Anna (Differding) Bach. She grew up and attended school in Campbell , MN and was baptized, received First Holy Communion and was confirmed at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Fairmount , ND . On October 19, 1954, she married the love of her life, Cyril A. Schreiber, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge , MN . The couple made their home and farmed near Doran, MN. They later moved to the Ottertail Lake area, where they made their home for several years. They spent many winters in Bullhead City , AZ , before moving to Ottertail , MN . Cyril preceded her in death on March 28, 2008. In October 2009, Dorothy moved to Breckenridge , MN . Dorothy enjoyed working in her garden, canning, and baking, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Breckenridge.

She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Ann) Schreiber of Bismarck, ND, Paul (Sheryl) Schreiber of Warroad, MN, and David (Marge) Schreiber of Longmont, CO; her grandchildren, Benjamin Schreiber of Mandan, ND, Amanda Schreiber of Bismarck, ND, Gerald Schreiber of Grand Forks, ND, Daniel (Elsa) Schreiber of Oceanside, CA, Elizabeth, Rachel, and Samantha Schreiber of Longmont, CO; her brother, John (Joy) Bach of Underwood, MN; her sisters, Susanna Herding of Hankinson, ND., Loretta (Leo) Althoff of Mooreton, ND, Marie (Herbert) Beyer of Breckenridge MN, and her brother-in-law, Donald Leinen of Great Bend, ND; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Cyril; her son, Mark Schreiber; her brothers, Frank Bach and Lawrence Bach ; and her sister, Margaret Leinen.
