Diann Wheeler

Diann Wheeler, 76 of Fergus Falls died Saturday, February 15, 2014 at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls.
Diann Agnes Wheeler was born on September 16, 1937 in Fairmont, North Dakota the daughter of Oliver and Agnes (Wilke) Lysne. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Nashua and attended the Tintah Public School for twelve years.
Diann and Merle Wheeler were married on September 7, 1954 in the Tintah Congregational Church. After their marriage they farmed in the Tintah area until 1972 when they moved to their farm in Aurdal Township, rural Fergus Falls. Merle passed away on December 9, 1992 and shortly after his death Diann moved into Fergus Falls. At the time of Diann's death she was living in the Page House. She was a homemaker, family being very important she enjoyed having grandchildren around all the time. Diann liked baking, was known for her good apple pie and in her families opinion she was Super Mom. She also enjoyed crocheting which she was still doing in the hospital, sewing, making dolls and anything to do with crafts. Diann also cherished her extended family and friends at the Page House.
She is survived by three sons, Kregg (Renee) Wheeler of Georgetown, Tx., Kevin (Kayla) Wheeler and Kal Wheeler both of Fergus Falls; fourteen grandchildren, Josh (Sara) Wheeler, Chris (Lisset) Wheeler, Mitchel (Sara Schuck) Wheeler, Melissa (Dennis) Anderson, Brandon (Kelsey Schafer) Wheeler, Taylor Wheeler, Dana Samuelson, Kaylee, Chase, Triston and Nikki Wheeler, Jamie Lemke, Jennifer Hams and Shane Lehn; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard (Delores) Lysne of Rutland, ND; and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Diann was preceded in death by her husband, Merle; daughter, Kristy Wheeler; son, Kent Wheeler; granddaughter, McKenzie Wheeler; and by four sisters, Marion Thompson, Lucille Krochell, Mable Pogreba and Sharon Denzel.
Memorial Service: 1 pm, Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Augustana Lutheran Church in Elizabeth, MN
Visitation: one hour prior to the service at the church

Cemetery: Riverside Cemetery, Nashua - Meet at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home at 10 am Thursday to go to the Riverside Cemetery of Nashua for a Graveside committal service.
