Cornelia Rogers

Cornelia Helen Rogers, 85, of Fergus Falls, MN, died on Monday, June 22, 2015, at her residence, under the care of Lakeland Hospice.

Corie was born on March 26, 1930, in Fergus Falls, Minnesota, the daughter of John and Wilma (Frikken) Mark. She grew up and attended Fergus Falls Public Schools.

On December 31, 1948, she married Robert Ernest Rogers at the Federated Church in Fergus Falls with Rev. William VanDyken officiating. Corie worked for Scott's Store, TG & Y and later at Ben Franklin where she retired in 1993.

Her hobbies included crocheting, knitting, sewing, reading and bowling in which she bowled 18 years on the same team. She loved watching sports games on TV, but her biggest joy was playing card games and Dominos with her children and grandchildren. Corie was always a real people's person and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Rogers and two sisters, Elizabeth Anderson and Mary Morris.

Corie is survived by her five children, Eudora "Dorie" (Ron) Johnson of Pine City, MN, LouAnn "Lani" (Ron) Slatt of Sebastian, Florida, Mary (Tom Klooz) Ruen of Sebastian, Florida, Nora (LA DuFault) Randklev of Fergus Falls, MN and Robert (Rene' Bowser) Rogers of Minneapolis, MN; two sisters, Dorothy Moen of Fergus Falls, MN and Joni (Stan Krajsa)Mark of Detroit Lakes, MN; nine grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; an Uncle, Floyd Mark of Dalton and an Aunt, Marie Pribbenow of Underwood; her dog, Sassy, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Celebration of Life Service: 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 18, 2015, at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home Chapel in Fergus Falls with a visitation one hour prior to the service.

Interment: Bethlehem Cemetery, Fergus Falls, MN
