Claudia Peasley, 73 of rural Erhard died Friday, January 29, 2016, at her home.

Claudia Jean Peasley was born on September 12, 1942, in Mora, Minnesota the daughter of Glenn and Winnie (Obert) Dalbey. She was born again in a Baptist Church in Toledo, Oregon at twelve years old. Claudia attended the Toledo Public School.

Claudia and Earl Peasley were married on April 6, 1959, in Toledo, Oregon. After their marriage they lived in Toledo, Burns, OR., Blackduck, MN., Glenrock, WY., Richwood, MN., in 1996, Earl and Claudia moved to Bloomington, MN. and managed apartment buildings and in 2004, moved to their present home by rural Erhard. Claudia was a homemaker, had been a Head Start Coordinator, cooked in the Yeolecastle Restaurant and worked as a Dietician Assistant in a hospital both in Burns. She was an avid reader, did crossword puzzles, was the Scrabble Queen and her family also remembered her as the world's greatest cook. Claudia enjoyed her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Earl; six children, Suzette (David) Robertson of Erhard, John (Chandis) Peasley of Shoshoni, WY., Debra (Gary) Phipps of Douglas, WY., Jess (Sheri) Peasley and Darcy Skiles both of Pelican Rapids, MN. and Donna (Carlos) Coury of Douglas, WY.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Marlys (Alvey) Peasley of Blackduck, MN.; brother, William (Frankie) Dalbey of Toledo, OR.; and by numerous relatives and friends. Claudia was preceded in death by her parents, Glenn and Winnie Dalbey; son-in-law, Norman Skiles; two grandchildren Tyrel Peasley and Brandi Adams; and by two sisters, Eileen Nail and Cheryl Lamar.

Funeral Service: 2:00 pm, Tuesday, February 2, 2016, at Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Fergus Falls.

Visitation: one hour prior to the service.

Clergy: Pastor Earl Peasley

Interment: Tonseth Lutheran Cemetery
