Audrey Reusch

Audrey Reusch, 93 of Battle Lake died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the Battle Lake Good Samaritan Center.

Audrey Sweet Reusch was born on April 4, 1920 in Tompkins, Saskatchewan, Canada the daughter of William and Frances (Sweet) Jackett. She graduated from the Kamsack Collegiate Institute in Kamsack, Saskatchewan and then continued her education at the Yorkton General Hospital Nurses Training Program graduating as a Registered Nurse in 1943.

Audrey and Milton K. Reusch were married on September 26, 1942 in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. They lived in various locations in Canada, primarily in Saskatchewan and in 1956 moved to Great Falls, Montana for one year and then to various locations in Minnesota before retiring to their home in Everts Township, rural Battle Lake. Audrey was a homemaker raising her four children and when they graduated from highschool she worked as an RN in different medical facilities. She was a very active member of the Ottertail United Methodist Church and also belonged to the Eastern Star, VFW Auxiliary, Camp Fire Girls, Daughters of the Nile along with other organizations. Audrey enjoyed traveling, knitting, crotcheting, sewing, shopping and especially her husband, family and grandchildren. In 2002, Audrey became a US Citizen.

She is survived by three children; Betty Ann Hogan of Battle Lake, Bud Reusch of New York Mills and Lynda Medenwaldt of Moorhead; eight grandchildren, Michael Hogan, Joseph (Myrtelle) Hogan, James (Lynn) Hogan, Beth Ann (Chris) Warren, Brian Reusch, Bradley (Natalia) Reusch, Tim (Kim) Medenwaldt and J.R. (Sarah) Medenwaldt; eight great-grandchildren, Kaisa, Markus, Callen, Michaela, Javin, Jordan, Seth and Alyssa; two great-great grandchildren, Analynn and Madilynn and by numerous relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Milton on May 10, 2002; son, Jim Reusch; son-in-law, Mike Hogan; two grandchildren, Maureen Hogan and Jodi Medenwaldt; two great-grandchildren, Chaz and Tanner Medenwaldt; two sisters, Flossie Woolsey and Marguerite Scribner; one brother, Wilbur Jackett.

Memorial Service: 10 am, Thursday, June 27, 2013 at the Glende-Nilson Funeral Home in Battle Lake
Visitation: one hour prior to the service
